The Georgia Renaissance Festival/Non-Union Film
This collection of design includes professional theater work, non-union film projects, and graduate school thesis work.
Royal Court Pavilion for the Georgia Renaissance Festival ll Designed and installed set dressing for newly built building; hand-created pieces included sigil banners, large shields and wooden Tudor rose rondels - remaining decor elements were sourced and installed. Project budget $2500.
Horns ll A redesign of the treehouse from the novel-turned-film, Horns directed by Alexandre Aja. Work done for a reimagining, non-union short film.
Brood ll
Project: To design a modern commercial experience based upon a concept of choice from the script of Hamlet written by William Shakespeare
Resolution: A coffee shop that acts as Hamlet's brooding chamber where he philosophizes about morality, intellect and character. This intimate space parallels stream of consciousness of young thought, study and reminders of more historical times.
The Clockmaker's Office ll A visual redesign and new story of our classroom to the office of the building owner, circa 1906.
The Howling Man ll
A redesigned Twilight Zone episode's major interior to fit a found exterior in our local area, including a changed historical context. Local film studio had to be measured and built in 3D; set design had to be built to scale in the physical film studio space.
